In Lima, "chifa" means a Peruvian-Chinese restaurant, or the cuisine itself. The register is neutro — fine among friends, out of place in a job interview or anything written to an institution. The standard Spanish equivalent is "restaurante chino". In use: Vamos al chifa de la esquina.
